South Coast and ATV Adventure
Description
Head on an adventure an get yourself on the back of a four-wheeler flying through black lava sand fields formed by glacial outbursts from the now dormant volcano Katla.
We start the day with stops at Skógafoss and Seljalandsfoss waterfalls. Skógarfoss is one of the largest waterfalls in Iceland and at Seljalandsfoss visitors can actually walk behind the waterfall for a unique persepctive.
We then head to ATV base for a safety briefing before mounting up and heading down to the black lava sands, splashing through a few small rivers along the way. Down at the beach we stop to take in an awesome view of Mýrdalsjökull glacier before carrying on to Jökulsá river and the ruins of an aircraft wreck from 1973.
