Laugavegur Hiking Trail
The most popular hiking trail in Iceland is the Laugavegur trail, a 55km long hike over the highland of Iceland and usually takes about 4-5 days. The hike starts in Landmannalaugar where the stunning landscape is formed of colorful rhyolite mountains and steaming hot springs and ends in Þórsmörk one of Iceland’s most beautiful places.
This hiking trail offers so many natural wonders on the way like glaciers, glacier rivers, hot springs, waterfalls, black deserts, colorful mountains and volcanoes. The scenery is just breathtaking with a great variety of landscape that it is hard not to forget yourself in the moment.
It is possible to add one more day and hike the Fimmvörðuháls trail as well.
The trail is only available in the summer months.
